Your domain. Your links.

Point any domain at slsh.me with one CNAME record. SSL is issued automatically. Branded short links like go.yourco.com/launch in seconds — no certificate to install, no nginx config.

Setup

Three steps. No tickets.

A subdomain you already own can be redirecting branded short links in under five minutes. No certificate authority. No nginx. No support thread.

1

Add the domain

Paste your hostname in settings — links.acme.co or go.yourco.com. We show you the exact CNAME target to set.

2

Point one CNAME

In your DNS provider, point a CNAME from your hostname to slsh.me. Propagation is usually seconds, sometimes minutes.

3

We verify & issue SSL

We poll DNS, verify ownership, and request a Let’s Encrypt certificate on demand. The link goes live with HTTPS the moment it’s served.

DNS, explained

One record. That’s the whole setup.

If your DNS provider supports CNAME on the host you want (subdomains always do; apex domains need a CNAME-flattening provider) — that’s the entire integration.

  • Subdomain (e.g. go.acme.co): CNAME record, no caveats.
  • Apex (e.g. acme.co): use Cloudflare, DNSimple, or Route 53 ALIAS — they expose CNAME at the apex transparently.
  • TTL 300s is fine; lower if you want faster failover.
  • Wildcards (*.acme.co) are supported on Team Slash.

HSTS preloaded — HTTP requests upgrade automatically
HTTP/2 + IPv6 — modern transport for every redirect

SSL, handled

You never touch a certificate. We renew them forever.

The first time your domain is hit, slsh.me requests a certificate from Let’s Encrypt on demand and caches it. Renewal happens automatically every 60 days. No cron job on your end, no expiry alarm, no panicked Slack thread.

If a renewal fails (rare), we retry, then page our oncall — not you.

Questions

The honest answers.

How do I connect my own domain to slsh.me?
Add the domain in settings, point a CNAME record from your DNS provider to slsh.me, and we verify it within seconds of propagation. SSL is issued automatically by Let’s Encrypt — no certificate to install.
Do I need a separate certificate for HTTPS?
No. slsh.me requests a Let’s Encrypt certificate on demand the first time your domain is hit, and renews it automatically. You never touch a .pem file.
Can I use the apex (root) domain or only a subdomain?
Both. CNAME works for subdomains like go.yourco.com or links.acme.co. For apex domains, use a CNAME-flattening DNS provider (Cloudflare, DNSimple, Route 53 ALIAS) — they expose CNAME at the apex transparently.
How many domains can I connect?
Free Slash includes 1 custom domain. Big Slash includes 3, with additional domains as a $3/mo structural add-on. Team Slash includes more by default. There’s no per-click fee on any domain.
What happens to my domain if I downgrade or cancel?
Every link on your custom domain keeps redirecting forever, even on the free tier or after cancellation. You lose the ability to create new links and edit settings, but no link ever stops working.
Can multiple users share the same domain in Team Slash?
Yes. On Team Slash, a domain is owned by the workspace and any member with the editor role can create links on it. The audit log records who created which link.
